Terms

Terms of service.

The basics of working with Tape Bounce - your order, your files, and what to expect in return.

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms cover your use of the Tape Bounce website and services ("we," "us," "Tape Bounce"). By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

2. What we do

Tape Bounce records the digital audio you submit to analog tape and prints it back to a digital file, optionally with mastering and other add-ons you select at checkout. Analog tape is an inherently variable medium; results depend on your source material, the options you choose, and the character of the tape and machines used. We do not guarantee a specific sonic outcome, but we take care with gain staging and calibration on every order.

3. Orders and payment

Pricing is calculated per minute of audio per track, plus any add-ons, and is shown before you check out. Payment is processed securely through PayPal. Your order enters our queue once payment is received; your uploaded files and settings are saved immediately afterward. Prices and add-ons may change over time, but the price shown at checkout is the price for that order.

4. Your files and content

You keep all rights to the audio you upload. By submitting files, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use and process them, and that our work on your behalf will not infringe anyone else's rights. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transfer your audio only as needed to fulfill your order. We do not use your audio for any other purpose.

5. Turnaround and delivery

Standard turnaround is 3 business days from the time your order and files are received. Rush turnaround, when selected, targets 24-hour delivery. These are targets, not guarantees, and may be affected by queue volume, file issues, or circumstances outside our control. We deliver finished files digitally, by email and through your order status page. Download links are time-limited; if a link expires, refresh your order status page to generate a new one.

6. Revisions and issues

If something looks wrong with your delivery - a processing error, a missed setting, or a corrupted file - contact us and we'll make it right. Because tape is an analog process, subjective preferences about tone or saturation are not treated as errors, though we're glad to talk through options for a future order.

7. Cancellations and refunds

If you need to cancel, reach out as soon as possible. If we have not yet begun processing your order, we'll refund it. Once your audio has been printed to tape, the work has been performed and the order is generally non-refundable. If there was a genuine problem on our end, we'll always work with you to resolve it.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't submit content that is unlawful, that you don't have the rights to, or that is intended to harm others. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders we reasonably believe violate these terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tape Bounce is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We recommend keeping your own backups of all original files; we are not responsible for the loss of source material.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms or an order? Reach us through the chat in the corner of any page and we'll get back to you directly.
