What's the benefit of mixing down to tape?

Mixing or mastering on analog tape can add vintage tone, gentle compression, and a more cohesive feel to a good mix. Tape also introduces subtle texture, including hiss and harmonic color, which many producers use on purpose when they want a more organic sound. If you are aiming for that character, tape can be a strong finishing step in the chain.

How long will it take to receive my bounced / mastered files?

Our standard turnaround time is three business days.

What tape format do you record on?

Currently we record on LPR35 1/4" tape at both 7.5ips and 15ips. More tape formats coming.

Will I receive a roll of tape with my recording on it?

As of now we are not including physical reels of tape with any orders; you'll receive digital recordings only. We may consider this as a future offering.

How should I submit the audio files?

Using our Order Form you can easily upload your files and complete your order. We currently accept WAV files.
